Text:
A room, as a spatial structure, is defined by its boundaries. Stripped of these, it lingers in oscillation—a state of in-betweenness — holding the promise of presence within absence.
This room is a space suspended in observation—present, yet absent we are.
This room is in transition, caught in-between the Here and Then.
Such oscillation is central to “I left this here for you to see (8 legs in this room)”, presenting the works of four artists entangling with environmental constructions, hostility and the feeling of being apart.
Absence as structure becomes a way of being elsewhere—within our worlds. From the outside, you peer into the namely worlds—not yet imagined, urging to demolish the space in-between.
