What is left, when looking at the ruins of the illusory nature of autonomy and artistic freedom, is the capacity to laugh at one’s own virtues. This act, paradoxically constituting a mode of agency, calls for an affectionate recognition of one’s entanglement and dependency within the field of art, its subfields and beyond.
